What is the 5K4Play?
A family-friendly 5K run or 2K walk along an out and back course in beautiful Portola Valley, hosted by the Pacific THERx Fitness Center and New Balance Silicon Valley. Our beneficiary, Playworks Silicon Valley, provides full-day, on-site programming to 25 low-income elementary schools between San Mateo and Salinas, serving over 13,000 students in eight different school districts daily.
Enjoy energetic warm-up activities and playground games for all ages before and after the race. During the race, kids ages 4 and up (if accompanied by a racing parent) can enjoy organized games in the Playground Zone while their parents do the 5K.
This race is a part of the Pacific Association USATF Road Grand Prix and the Palo Alto Grand Prix. Please visit www.pausatf.org or www.paloaltogp.org for more information on these series.
Playworks and Peninsula Distance Club, Inc (dba New Balance Silicon Valley), are both 501(c)3 non-profit, charitable organizations for which donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
