In 1964 Gerry Lindgren set the National High School record for the 3 Mile in a time of 13:17. In 1966 he established the National Collegiate record in a time of 12:53. Join Gerry as we bring back the 3 Mile race in a classic run for RUNNERS. 

* Entire course within Kapiolani Park – Honolulu, Hawaii. Starts 7am.
* Beat Gerry Lindgren to the finish line and receive a certificate. All runners who are kind and compassionate and allow Gerry to beat them will also receive a certificate.
* Awards: Top Male and Female, and top finisher in age groups: 0-9, 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+
* $20 entry donation. Technical shirt available for $25.
* Run day entry: $30, extra shirts may be available for purchase.
* Check-in/registration from 6:15-6:45am on morning of the run.
* Must sign waiver when you receive your number

** You do not need to BE in Hawaii to run this event. You can run it in Poughkeepsie! You can run it in Walla Walla. You can run it in Newton or Foxgrove. Just ENTER and run anytime between Gerry's birthday (March 9) and the day of the event in Hawaii (March 23) and send in your finishing time (no cheat). We will post times on the website. You will not be eligible for an overall or age group award, however, you WILL receive the special run certificate (we will mail it to you), AND your $10 donation will be going to a worthy cause with the Hawaii Running Project. If you would like to receive a Gerry Lindgren 3 Miler shirt, it is available for $25. Indicate men's, women's, or youth, and size, and we will MAIL the shirt to you.
