Is this a REAL Colour Run?
Heck yes! As real as it gets! The only difference is that all of the proceeds stay right in London and help Childreach help parents be the best they can be.

What is included with my Colour Fun Run registration?
Runners will receive a continental breakfast, Colour Fun Run t-shirt, a bag of colour to throw at the after-race dance party (or take home with you!) and bottled water.

Can I run with a jogging stroller and my kids?
Yes, although be aware that the run is located in a park and the path is made of packed stone. Kids 5 and under don’t need to register – they’re FREE – but they will need to bring their own white t-shirt.

Can I run with my dog?
Sorry! No dogs allowed.

Is there a race kit pick up for the event? How does all that work?
Yes. About two weeks before the event we’ll email you all of the details that you need to know. There will also be a waiver sent to you that you must print and bring to Childreach to pick up your kit. Last-minute Londoners can also pick up their kit at the Eco Park on the morning of the race.

How is the colour administered?
Volunteers at each kilometre mark will throw and/or blast colour on you; nothing to worry about; although, you may want to wear a bandanna, sunglasses or a sweatband to keep the colour out of your eyes.

Will the colour ruin clothes or running shoes?
The colour does mostly wash out after the event. As with anything dirty, the sooner you wash it, the better. We suggest wearing items that you wouldn’t mind getting colourful. If you wash your shirt….the colour will eventually come out. If you would like to preserve the colour in your running shirt, spray it with vinegar and iron it.

Does the colour affect vision or breathing?
The colour is food grade cornstarch and is 100% natural and safe. As with anything, take precautions to keep the colour powder out of your eyes. There will always be the option to bypass colour if you feel like you’re colourful enough!

How do I get clean before I head home?
With a good brushing off, you aren’t completely clean, but you are totally good for the drive home. If you’re worried, bring a towel or garbage bag to put down on your car seats.

Can spectators attend the after-race Dance Party?
For sure! There will be refreshments available for purchase, and we’ll have packets of colour powder available for you to buy. Everyone at the Colour Fun Run will end up looking like a rainbow.

Are cameras and phones safe to bring?
Yes, but we recommend covering them with plastic wrap or a bag.

Are there refunds?
Unfortunately, we cannot issue refunds. However, you can transfer your registration to another person. Email us at jpowers@childreach.on.ca with the details.

Can I wear costumes?
Of course! We love costumes!

Can I Walk?
Walking is totally acceptable. We don’t time the race, and it is non-competitive, so there’s no pressure.

What if there is bad weather?
The run will happen RAIN or SHINE. Fingers crossed for the SHINE. Of course if there’s lightning, we will have to be flexible with timing. Check our Facebook page or twitter feed on race day for weather information.
