The first annual "The African Hope Run" will take place on March 30, 2014 in Medicine Hat, AB. The start time for this timed raced will be 10 a.m. so please arrive half an hour early to "check in". The START for this race will be located at the YMCA Downtown which is located at 150 Ash Avenue S.E. All the proceeds from the pledges will go towards completing projects over in Africa. There is a group of students from the Medicine Hat College who will be travelling to Zambia and South Africa from May to June 2014 to complete their international practicum. While there, the students will complete a number of projects specifically funding a water well in the community of Mwandi, Zambia.

Collecting Pledges
We are encouraging all racers to collect pledges and donations from family and friends to raise money to complete projects while in Africa; specifically drilling a water well in Mwandi, Zambia. The individual that raises the most money will be awarded a prize on race day! Receipts will be available for donations over $50.00. Individuals who donate $100.00 or over will receive a complementary final report of the International Practicum to Africa.
The final day to register that will gurantee that you receive a T-Shirt on race day will be Friday, March 21st. However participants are still allowed to register up until March 29th unfortunately after the 21st there will be no gurantee of receiving your shirt prior to the race! Arrangements will be made following the race to ensure you receive your shirt ASAP.
