Turn right onto Summer Place as you are exiting.
Turn right onto South 5th Street.
Turn right onto Davidson St.
Follow Davidson onto South 1st Street to access Lot R. If Lot R is full, turn right onto South 2nd Street to access Lot N.
Avoid Interstate Drive and Shelby Avenue in East Nashville to prevent being caught up in rush hour and parade traffic. If you miss Summer Place, turn RIGHT on Shelby Avenue, then right onto South 5th Street and continue following the instructions above.
FROM DOWNTOWN: Take Korean War Veterans Boulevard to Shelby Avenue, and MNPD will direct you into LP Field.
FROM EAST NASHVILLE: Take Main, Woodland, or Shelby to South 5th Street, then follow the directions above. Woodland Street and several other streets will be closed for the parade.
MORE PARKING INFO FROM MNPD
Friday night's 61st Annual Nashville Christmas Parade, Rudolph's Red Nose 5K Run, Mayor's Tree Lighting Ceremony and Brantley Gilbert concert, all downtown, will make for a traffic challenge beginning during the evening rush hour. There are also events scheduled Friday night at the Ryman Auditorium, Schermerhorn Symphony Center, Wildhorse Saloon and Municipal Auditorium.
The police department strongly encourages downtown commuters and those attending Friday night's events to begin making their travel and parking plans early.
The westbound (inbound) lanes of Woodland Street from Interstate Drive to 3rd Avenue at Union Street will close Friday at 4 p.m. to allow for the staging of parade floats. The eastbound (outbound) lanes of the Woodland Street Bridge will close at 5 p.m., as will 1st and 2nd Avenues North and all of the roadways immediately surrounding LP Field, from where the 5K run will start.
Broadway from 1st Avenue to 13th Avenue will close at 5:30 p.m.
The 5K run will begin from LP Field at 6 p.m. and will travel the parade route across the Woodland Street Bridge, down 2nd Avenue and up Broadway. Runners will return to LP Field via the Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge.
The tree lighting ceremony on the Public Square in front of the Historic Courthouse will begin at 6:30 p.m. The Christmas Parade will begin from the Public Square at 7 p.m., travel down 2nd Avenue and up Broadway.
Persons coming into or leaving the downtown area Friday evening are urged to avoid road closures by traveling Church Street (north of Broadway) or Demonbreun Street & Korean Veterans Boulevard (south of Broadway).
More than 10,000 music fans are expected to attend Friday's 7 p.m. Brantley Gilbert concert at Bridgestone Arena, where doors will open at 5:30 p.m. Concert goers arriving from the east or north are encouraged to come into downtown via Korean Veterans Boulevard. Persons arriving from the south or west are encouraged to approach Bridgestone Arena via Demonbreun Street. Police officers on fixed posts at downtown intersections will assist in traffic direction.
