1st Annual 5K
After 10 successful years of Party With Purpose 5Ks in Hoboken, it is now time for Jersey City to have their own. The newest chapter is proud to announce the 1st Annual PWP Jersey City 5K and after party ~the start/finish line will be on the Hyatt Pier at 2 Exchange Place with the after party located there as well. Whether you want to run or volunteer, this event is a great way to get involved in the community and support local youth charities.
Doesn’t our name say it all! Party With Purpose (PWP) is a 100% volunteer based, 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization founded on the concept of producing great events to raise money for charities and bring the community together in the process.
We combine the best local social events with charitable causes to make a positive difference both here in our local community and abroad. To date, PWP has donated $500,000 and counting to help those in need through the generosity of volunteers, those attending events, and local sponsorships & donations.
Online registration at this site will close on September 19th at midnight. After that time, you may register for the event by stopping by the Hyatt Regency located at 2 Exchange Place from 11AM-3PM on September 21st or from 5PM-8PM on September 22nd. Kindly note that during these times, the $35 registration fee must be paid in cash. Runners can also register on a first come first serve basis on race day at the registration table. The cost is $35 on race day and can be paid in cash only.
Every pre-registered runner receives a goody bag with free stuff! Pick up your race number and performance t-shirt at the Hyatt Regency (2 Exchange Place) in advance the weekend before the race (September 21st from 11am-3pm and September 22nd from 5pm-8pm) and day-of beginning at 5pm.
EMERGENCY CONTACT – Please be sure to fill in your emergency contact information on the back of your bib.
BAG CHECK – We strongly encourage you NOT bring a bag to the race. If you must bring one, there is a bag check area. You’ll need to transfer all contents into the clear drawstring bag provided with your race materials with your bib number ‘bag’ label affixed. You may not put full bags inside the clear bag. Absolutely no bags, backpacks, or hydration packs will be allowed on the course. Any unattended bags will be confiscated by event security and could cause an interruption to the day’s events. We reserve the right to search any bag at any time.
TRANSPORTATION – There will be street closings prior to the race so the best way to arrive is by public transportation (bus, PATH train, lightrail or ferry). We are NOT responsible for any tickets runners may incur as a result of parking on the street.
