In November 2011 we would have celebrated Sophie's sixth birthday. Instead because of a tragic accident, we honored her memory with a 6K run/walk. We continue to remember and celebrate the time we had with her, as we host the 3rd annual Sophie's Six.
While our fundraising efforts are not for a national cause but, they represent something equally important an opportunity to remind others how precious life is and how important every moment of each day should be to us all.
This year we have chosen to split the proceeds between Camp Koala and the Drew Michael Taylor Foundation. Camp Koala provides grieving children with tools and resources to help them manage their grief in a healthy way, and to offer companionship in a supportive environment. Sophie's sister, Olivia, attended Camp Koala and felt the special connection to other children there. The Drew Michael Taylor Foundation provides educational opportunities and grief and loss support programs for children, teens, and their families.

6K Awards
Awards will be given to the overall Male and Female Champions. They will receive a trophy and gift certificate from Runner's Sole.
The top 2 runners in each age group will also receive an award..

1 Mile Awards
Medals given to all finishers under 12 years of age for the 1 mile walk/run. First place girl and boy 12 years and under will receive an award. Registration for children under 12 is free, but please be sure to sign them up for the event prior to the race!
