Wildcat Run

We encourage runners and walkers of all ages to register for the event on this site, or you can pay (cash only) in person on race day. We strongly suggest that people pre-register to ensure that you receive a T-Shirt as well as a Race Goody Bag. Paper registration forms are available for printing from the Western Trails Elementry School website http://www.edline.net/pages/Western_Trails_Elementary . Please be sure to fill out the correct information and submit payment via check or cash. Registration forms & payment may be mailed to Western Trails PTA, 860 Idaho, Carol Stream, IL 60188. Payment must be received by October 1st. Registrations received after October 1 will NOT receive an event T-Shirt or finisher's medal. If you choose to pay on race day, please note it will be CASH only. Race Day registration will be the same cost of $30 for the 5K and $20 for the Fun Run, but registration does not include an event t-shirt or finisher's medal. We will have a limited amount of T-Shirts for sale at the event. Day of registration will open at 8:30 AM.

DO NOT REGISTER WESTERN TRAILS STUDENTS ON THIS SITE

Race packets can be picked up on Friday, October 17th from 3:30 to 5:30 at the Western Trails PE, located at 860 Idaho Street in Carol Stream. You can also pick up your packets on the day of the race at 8:30 AM. The packet will provide you with your race shirt, bib and goody bag.

We are holding this event to raise funds for The Western Trails PTA so it can continue to support the needs of Western Trails Students. The PTA recently contributed to the purchase of the new playground at Western Trails and provides funding for a second field trip, assemblies, school supplies, Family Night Out, ice cream at Open House, student lunch for Field Day, supports groups within the school and Carol Stream community, and much more. Your particpation will directly support the PTA and each child that goes to Western Trails.

All students of Western Trails Elementary have already been registered on this site. However, they can only participate if they raise at least $25 in pledges. For each dollar amount over $25 that a student raises, there will be additional prizes. If you are interested in pledging a student, please select 'Pledge a Participant' on this website, select the student's name, and enter the amount you would like to pledge. Please note that students can also accept pledges from family and friends via cash and check in the weeks leading up to the race. When registering, if you select pledge it will not go to a child at the school, it will be listed as a pledge to yourself. Be sure to select PLEDGE A PARTICIPANT to pledge the students that you would like to pledge.

Parents/Community Members: All parents & community members who would like to raise pledges are welcome to do so. Every $5 raised equals one (1) raffle ticket. Raffle tickets are placed in a drawing for several prizes.

People can pledge to a registered Parent or Community Member by selecting 'Pledge a Participant' on this website, selecting the participant's name, and entering the desired pledge.

Raffle: Winners will be announced at noon on event day, Saturday, October 18. Raffle winners must be present to receive raffle prizes. Announced raffle winners will be called up in drawing order to choose their prize. A list of available prizes will be displayed at the event.

If you can't participate and would like another way to help the students at Western Trails, you can make donations to our fundraiser on this site. Simply click on the yellow "DONATE" button above. The PTA is a non-for-profit organization and greatly appreciates every donation we receive.

The Fitness Festival will be running from 9:00am to 1:00pm.

We will have inflatable rides for kids to play on, including a bounce house, obstacle course and large slide. We will also have laser tag available, fitness competitions and a performance by The School of Rock. There will be wristbands available for purchase at the event for unlimited rides for $15 or you can buy individual $1 tickets.

There have been booths signed up to be there that day; including Sports Authority, Carol Stream Park District, Carol Stream Library, Cadence Health, Chiro One, Body and Brain Yoga, Hula Frog, Shakeology, Flirty Girl Fitness, The Chicago Fire, DuPage training Academy and many more. Most booths will have greta informations and giveaways.

We will also have concessions available all day, including bagels, donuts, fresh fruit and granola and power bars for breakfast and pizza, subs, fresh fruit, a bake sale and other healthy snacks for lunch.

We will also be holding a raffle drawing at noon to raffle off some amazing prizes from places like, Disney World, Top Golf, Hair Cuttery, Village Tavern and Grill, Bull Dog Ale House, The Chicago Wolves, The Schaumburg Boomers, The Science and Industry Museum, Shedd Aquarium, Lego Land, The Carol Stream Animal Hospital, Sports Authority, Dick's Sporting Goods, Hot Spot, Zanies, Einstein Bagels, Red Apple and Flirty Girl Fitness!

Raffle tickets will be available at the event only and winners must be present to win.
