Race Non-Profit Partnership
THE MILLS RIVER PARTNERSHIP
The Mills River Partnership (MRP) is a not-for-profit organization that has been partnering with local residents, farmers, and businesses since 1998 to protect water quality in the Mills River watershed. We are a collaborative group, involving local farmers, citizens, conservation organizations, and governments. We believe in working on a voluntary basis with all members of the community to tackle water quality issues.
WE CARE ABOUT THE MILLS RIVER WATERSHED
The Mills River is an extremely valuable economic and natural resource. It provides many important services to the community by supplying water to tens of thousands of homes, schools, and businesses, offering recreational opportunities like trout fishing, hiking, and camping, irrigation water for high-value agriculture and important habitat for plants and animals. MRP works to minimize issues like sediment runoff, stormwater, and streambank erosion which can affect water quality.
