RACE DAY REGISTRATION will be available: Adult $80, Youth (17 & Under) $40.
The Newport Sharkfest Swim will take place along the historic waterfront of Newport. The swim will start at the harbormaster’s dock in Perotti Park in front of the Newport Marriott Hotel. It will be an in-water start in waves of 75 to proceed past the docks on your left side and anchored sailboats on the right side of the swimming channel. The 1500 meter swim will be a straight shot down the harbor to finish on the beach at King Park in the shadow of the statue of Rochambeau. The event is limited to 400 participants, so don’t wait to register!
The Landing Restaurant and Newport Storm Brewery have teamed up to bring you a post race party which includes a free beer for all registered participants.
PLEASE NOTE: This swim is not for novices. This event is for experienced open-water swimmers only. You should be able to swim one mile comfortably in a pool in under 40 minutes.

INCENTIVES: T-Shirts for all participants. Sharkfest Swim Medals for top three finishers in each age group, in each division (wetsuit & non-wetsuit). Personalized award plaques will also be mailed to the first place finishers in each age group, in each division (wetsuit & non-wetsuit).
AGE GROUP BREAKDOWN: Male and Female: 5-6, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, 15-17, 18-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80-84, 85-89, 90-94, 95-100!
TEAM COMPETITION: Form a team of three to five swimmers, and you will become eligible to win the Rochambeau "Cup". It's easy to register as a team, when you register online, simply click the "Create a team" link or join an existing team by selecting the team name from the dropdown menu at the top of the registration form. The person who creates the team becomes the Team Captain. The fastest three times will be combined together to calculate your team's finish time. If you're already registered to swim and want to join a team, please notify us at info@envirosports.com.

PARKING: Parking will be available for $3.00/hour ($24.50/day) in the public parking garage located behind the Newport Visitor’s Center (23 America's Cup Ave, Newport, RI) near the race start. There will be shuttle buses from the race finish to bring you back to your cars at the end of the race.
CANCELLATIONS: Registrations are non-refundable. If you can no longer participate in this event, you may receive a rollover credit (minus a $20 processing fee) toward a future event as long as you let us know by August 20 2015. After that date, a doctor's note is required to receive a credit.
