The 5K J is a fun run to benefit Cornerstone Services. Since 1969, Cornerstone has been providing support and services to individuals with disabilities so they can live, work, and thrive in the communities they call home. By supporting Cornerstone, you are helping individuals with a variety of disabilities to achieve the goals that are most important to them! Over 1,000 individuals currently trust Cornerstone Services to assist them to be as independent as possible while living and working in the community. The Cornerstone 5K J follows the historic Joliet Junction Trail, which for nearly a century saw action as part of the Ej&E Railway. It is a unique opportunity to see a side of Joliet that once was the exclusive domain of freight trains.

Event Details
This event will be timed by Hooysum LLC.
The race will begin at 777 Joyce Road Joliet, IL where participants will then run up Joyce Road to enter the Joliet Junction Trail, turn around just before Moen Ave. in Rockdale, IL and end the race where we began at Cornerstone Services.
- All participants who register before October 6, 2015 will receive an official TECH race t-shirt (registration from October 7, 2015 until race day does not guarantee an official race t-shirt).
- Online registration will close on October 15, 2015 at 7:00 pm.
- Registration will be open for in-person registrants race day October 18, 2015 at 8:00 am. (T-shirts are not guaranteed after October 7, 2015).
- Registration the day of the race will be $30.00 for participants 13 years and older and $20.00 for participants 12 years and younger.
- Participation medals will be given out to all participants 12 years and younger who complete the run and register before October 10, 2015.
- Awards will be given out for the overall male and female runners for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.
- Awards will be given out to the top 3 participants who raise the most donations for Cornerstone Services.
Important Safety Information:
- We ask that all participants arrive by 8:30 am to ensure safety for runners on Joyce Road.
- No strollers or animals will be permitted during the race.

Below is a map of the race route. The race will begin at Cornerstone Services (777 Joyce Road), follow Joyce Road to the Joliet Juntion Trail then participants will turn around at Moen Ave and follow the course back to Cornerstone Services.
