Salt Lake City, Utah will host the 2nd annual Chosen Half Marathon and 5K, at Ron Wood Memorial Park. Nestled on the west side of the Salt Lake Valley, this race was the first on the map from the national expansion of the Texas based non-profit, Chosen Marathon. The race offers 3 options: a Half Marathon (13.1mi), 5k (3.1) and the Kids Fun Run (1 Mile). This picturesque course will provide runners with a scenic view of the Great Salt Lake and brand new rolling trails along the Mountain View Corridor.

Virtual Runners Want to run ALL of the long distance Chosen Races but don’t have the time and/or money to travel to all of them? We have a solution for you! You can now run any of our races VIRTUALLY!
How does it work?
We are so glad you asked!
It’s easy as 1-2-3!
- Sign up for any of our Half or Full Marathon races as a virtual runner.
- Log your miles between September 1st, 2015 - October 1st, 2015.
- Post your results on the Chosen Salt Lake City Facebook page using #chosenmarathon #virtual runner or #runforanother
- Email your results to ronnie@chosenmarathon.com to receive your swag.
As a Chosen Virtual Runner, after 2-3 weeks after submission, you will receive:
- A personalized race bib
- Official 13.1 or 26.2 finisher medal
- An AWESOME Chosen Tech shirt that is sure to be the envy of all your friends
- The Satisfaction of helping bring a child home to their forever family!
**5k races are not eligible for virtual runners at this time.
Half Marathon Course
HM Course- Our Half Marathon course is one of a kind and gives you a unique view of the entire valley from the west bench of the Oquirrh Mountains. You will start at Ron Wood Memorial Park at approx. an alltitude of 4,600 ft and climb a hill mid way into the course. The course total altitude gain is 500 feet. You will enjoy the gentle rolling decline to the finish line while enjoying the view from Mountain View Corridor.
5K Course
5k Course- Start and finish of our 5k course will be held at Ron Wood Memorial park the course is great for all levels of runner with no hills and flat paved trails and road you will enjoy the best views West Jordan has to offer!
Chosen VIP
Reserved Finish Line parking spot and VIP Swag Bag filled with Chosen Merchandise and lots of fun surprises from area businesses!
