Gerry Lindgren 3 Miler

Your chance to race against the legendary Gerry Lindgren and celebrate Gerry's last birthday in 60+ age group as he turns 69 years young in March. During those years he held 57 American Track records, 1 World Record, and won 11 NCAA National Championships.

This year's race is FREE and takes place in KAPIOLANI PARK ON SATURDAY MARCH 21 AT 7AM. Start: in front of the Waikiki Shell on Monsarrat Ave. and run 1 &1/2 times around Kapiolani Park. Finish: in front of the tennis courts across from the Waikiki Aquarium. After the race: hang out with Gerry, receive your certificate, and take photos with him.

Of course, we will present certificates whether you beat Gerry, or not. If your time is faster than Gerry, we will give you a ‘CERTIFICATE OF ACHIEVEMENT’ and if your time is slower, we will give you ‘CERTIFICATE OF APPRECIATION’ for allowing Gerry to win.

POSTAL DIVISION: If you can't make it to Kapiolani Park in Honolulu to run with Gerry... try a little harder! Just kidding. YOU CAN RUN IT WHERE EVER YOU LIVE. You can run it in Poughkeepsie! You can run it in Walla Walla. You can run it in Newton or Foxgrove. Just run 3 miles any time during the month of March and send in your finishing time (no cheat). We will post times on the website and facebook. If you would like to receive the special run CERTIFICATE, send a $10 donation to cover postage and handling, and we will mail it to you no matter where you live.
