My Story…
Like me, you've likely heard of many famous people struck by Parkinson's, Michael J. Fox, Muhammad Ali, Johnny Cash, NBA Basketball star Brian Grant...the list goes on and on. You've also likely known a friend, family member, or someone in your community struggling with this disease. This past February the disease hit closer to home for me when my dear friend Evan was diagnosed with early onset Parkinson's. His courage and positive outlook on life is an inspiration for all of us. Rather than feel like a victim, he has chosen to focus on all the gifts in his life, "live well today", and help build awareness for the cause. He rallied a group of friends together to help him launch "The Growling Beaver". I am a proud member of this event's organizing committee and while I'll be helping manage the event rather than ride the course, my fund raising commitment is strong. This disease can strike anyone, please help me raise money towards helping people withParkinson's "live well today".
