2015 — Walk For McKennzie — Race Roster — Registration, Marketing, Fundraising

"Hi, I am McKennzie Tucker. Thank you for helping me!"

13 yr old MCKENNZIE TUCKER IS paralyzed from the chest down and needs physical therapy in hopes to walk again. Her father lost his job and their Health Ins company dropped them because her mom had cancer the previous year.

This event is one of several through which our community can help a precious young lady deal with TRANSVERSE MYELITIS, a condition developed through a viral infection that attacks the nervous system.

LOCATION

THE MARCH 4 MCKENNZIE WALKATHON WILL BE HELD AT CRANES ROOST PARK IN ALTAMONTE SPRINGS. PARTICIPANTS WILL FOLLOW 3 LOOPS AROUND THE PARK, WITH THE START AND FINISH ON THE SOUTH SIDE. CRANES ROOST PARK MEASURES JUST UNDER 1 MILE FOR 1 LOOP, REQUIRING 5K PARTICIPANTS TO COMPLETE 3 + LAPS. THE ONLINE COURSE MAP WILL BE AVAILABLE LATER THIS WEEK.

Feel free to run, walk, and/or use a stroller to include the entire family in following the Cranes Roost 5k course. A digital display clock will be located at the finish line for those wanting to time their effort. THIS IS NOT A COMPETITIVE EVENT.
