RideUNITED Birmingham with your family and friends pass the historic Civil Rights sites throughout the City of Birmingham. The 15 and 32 mile social ride down Richard Arrington.Jr. Blvd, Fred Shuttlesworth Blvd and Abramham Woods Blvd pass the site where Johnnie Robinson, a 16 year old boy was killed on the same day of the bombing of 16th Street Baptist Church and through more than 6 neighborhoods. This year we will add a 25 mile route that will take riders pass the spot where Virgil Ware, a 13 year old boy was shot and killed while riding his bike with his brother. Both young boys on bicycles were killed on the same day of the bombing of the historic 16th Street Baptist Church.
Families and kids can RideUnited Birmingham's 5 mile Kids Ride through the treeline streets of downtown Birmingham pass many of the historic Civil Rights sites. Kids get a fun ride and a powerful educational opportunity.
This ride will have SAG support for all routes.
