Get out your costumes, dress up your little monsters and dogs and come out for the FRIGHTFULLY FUN 16th annual Scream Scram 5K Run/Walk presented by Grease Monkey! Race through Washington Park in costume (if you choose) and support Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver. It is sure to be a real scream!
Online registration is now closed, however race day registration is avaliable.

We have added a new registration option this year. This option is for anyone who is unable to attend this year's race or wants to come to cheer on your friends and hang out at Trick or Treat Street. Please select the "Ghost Registration" option and you can be with us in spirit and still get your collectible Scream Scram t-shirt (shirts will be mailed after the race).
General Info
Everyone is invited to walk the orange carpet beginning at 5:15 p.m. for our costume contest before the kids take off in the 100M Spooky Sneak to start the festivities. Cross the finish line and enter Trick or Treat Street filled with some sweet treats and spooky goodies.
Event Schedule:
5:15 PM - Registration opens and the costume contest begins on the Orange Carpet
5:15 PM - Bib and T-Shirt Pick Up (Pre-Registration Only)
5:55 PM - Special performance of "Thriller" by Cherry Creek Dance
6:15 PM - 100M Kids Spooky Sneak kicks off the race
6:30 PM - Race Start
6:45 PM - Trick or Treat Street Opens
7:15 PM - Race results & costume contest winners are announced (time is approximate)
Starting Line: Starting line is located near the SE corner of Wash Park.
Parking: Parking is available around the perimeter of the park.
Check-In: Packet pickup will begin at 5:15 p.m. on race day at registration, located near the start line. All racers will be timed.
Who Benefits: Your participation in the 2015 Scream Scram helps support more than 2,000 children across metro Denver who depend on their Boys & Girls Club each day. Through homework help, arts and technology programs, sports and fitness activities and leadership development, Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver is positively shaping the lives of thousands of kids in our community. Who Participates: Everyone is welcome to participate in Scream Scram! Kids of all ages, adults, seniors, families, corporate teams and dogs are all invited to take part in this fun Halloween tradition. Costumes are encouraged and categories include Best Individual, Best Family, Best Group (minimum of 4 team members), Best Child and Best Pet. Additionally, teams of up to 10 can register as an official Scream Team with their own costume category.
About the 100M Spooky Sneak: The 100M Spooky Sneak a short race designed just for kids to start the Scream Scram festivities. It is free for children of all ages to participate in the Spooky Sneak.
Additional Race Details:
- Strollers are allowed on the race course.
- Children under the age of 3 aren't required to register to participate in the 5K. However, if they would like a commemorative glow-in-the-dark Scream Scram shirt, they must be registered.
- Head lamps, reflective gear and other nighttime running supplies are recommended for this evening race.
- Pets are allowed at this race! There is even a special category in the costume contest just for our furry friends!

Scream Scram participants who come in costume and are judged on the Orange Carpet before the race start will be eligible for costume contest prizes. Time to get creative! Costume prize categories include:

Medals will be awarded to the top finishers on Trick or Treat Street in the following categories:
