Join us to celebrate the newest addition to Glendale's outdoor amenities!! Be one of the first to officially take advantage of the newest expansion of the New River Trail system. Celebrate the Grand Opening of the trail from Northern Avenue to Bethany Home Road on Monday, October 12th!
Whether you want to push yourself with a 4.45 mile route that will take you the entire length of the new trail or enjoy a shorter route between Northern and Glendale Avenues, we welcome you to take part.
The trail will open at 7:30am for all 4.45 mile (out and back course from Northern to Bethany Home) runners/walkers and at 8:00am for all 2.20 mile (Northern to Glendale) runners/walkers. All distances will be untimed, but race clocks will be available at the start/finish line.
Stay after your run/walk and help us celebrate the official Dedication Ceremony of the route. The ceremony will start at 9:00am.
Parking will be available just South of Northern Ave off 99th Ave.
Participation in the event costs $5.00 and ALL proceeds will go directly to the Valley of the Sun United Way!!
