I was an active Big Brother from 2003 to 2012 before my little and I graduated from the program when he turned 18. My mentoring relationship with him was, and still is, one of the most satisfying and rewarding experiences of my life. I have continued my support of this phenomenal organization in a volunteer role on the board of directors because I believe that children and youth have a much higher likelihood of reaching their potential when they have access to a number of quality role models.
