Help Tracy raise money

For participating in Manitoba Marathon

My Story…

The reason I push myself to run a HALF MARATHON is to raise funds and awareness for Neurofibromatosis. My first half marathon was done in pure desperation, to do something~ANYTHING~for my son! The tumour in his chest was inoperable and he was already dealing with a braced leg. I RAN for a CURE, SUPPORT and HELP for us BOTH. He still deals with the NF symptoms, but thankfully a provincial group NOW exists! MBNF supports over 100 members in our province. MBNF brings attention to NF, a genetic disorder that affects 1 in 3000 people and causes tumours to grow on nerves throughout the body. There is NO CURE yet, but there is HOPE! Many of MBNF’s goals have come to fruition: we have sent kids to an NF CAMP, held an NF SYMPOSIUM, and helped in the purchase of MRI GOGGLES for use during MRI scans. More work is still needed, we HOPE to have an NF CLINIC or Coordinator within the HEALTH CARE system, among other needs. Your SUPPORT in our running efforts for NF is APPRECIATED, thank you!
