Join us for a 5K race to celebrate St. Patrick's Day in downtown Fort Collins! The course is fast, flat, USTAF certified, and is chip timed; it is also a BolderBoulder qualifying course.
Wear your finest green apparel to show off your Irish pride and support a great cause! Partners Mentoring Youth creates and supports one-to-one mentoring relationships between positive adult role models and youth facing challenges in their personal, social, and academic lives.
After the race stay downtown to enjoy the St. Patrick's Day Parade and have a beer on us from Odell Brewing Company at the beer garden on Linden Street.
Adult Registration:
The race registration fee for adults include:
- Chip-timed 5K race
- Cotton tshirt with 2016 design
- Pint of Odell beer (participants 21 and older only)
Youth Registration:
Youth 17 and under run FREE! Youth Cotton and Tech shirts are available for purchase on registration site and at the race, but are not included with registration. Youth must be registered in advance online.
Youth 12 and under are also welcome to participate in The Shamrock Scurry, a free fun run that does not require registration.
RACE CAPS AT 3,000 PARTICIPANTS. DAY OF REGISTRATION IS DETERMINED BY NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS; STAY TUNED FOR MORE INFORMATION CONCERNING POTENTIAL DAY OF REGISTRATION.

Our Mission
The mission of Partners Mentoring Youth is to create and support one-to-one mentoring relationships between positive adult role models and youth facing challenges in their personal, academic or social lives. All funds raised through Sharin' O' the Green 2016 will directly support these mentoring programs throughout Northern Colorado.
There are many ways to support mentoring relationships:
- Become a Sharin' O' the Green Fundraiser: Promote your participation in the race individually or as a team and ask your friends and family to support your participation AND youth mentoring. There are prizes for top individual and team fundraisers! Contact us if you have questions.
- Become a Donor: Consider giving a financial gift to Partners Mentoring Youth to help us establish and maintain strong mentoring relationships between volunteer mentors and youth who need extra support. Visit our website for more information.
- Become a Mentor: Volunteer as a Senior Partner or Activity Volunteer in our mentoring programs. Learn more and request an information session by visiting our website.

This is a great chance to grab your bib, shirt, and sponsor swag before the event so you can avoid day-of lines. We will also be emailing out the bib numbers to you before packet pick-up. To save time, please look up your number and come prepared with that number. You can also pick up running packets for other participants, please have their first and last name and bib number.

FAQs
Q: Are pets allowed?
A: Dogs on a leash are welcome. Please clean-up after them and start towards the back of the line-up.
Q: Are strollers allowed?
A: Strollers are welcome.
Q: What is the course like?
A: The course is a paved street. The race starts and ends at Library Park, following Peterson south to Circle drive and connects back to Peterson after a quick jaunt on Matthews.
Q: Where do I redeem my bib for a beer?
A: You can turn your bib in at the brewery or at the beer garden set-up on Linden Street.
Q: What is The Shamrock Scurry?
A: This is a free short race for kids 12 and under to participate in. It is prior to the start of the 5K and no registration is necessary.
Q: Do I need to register my child?
A: You do not need to register children under five.
Q: If it snows, will the race be cancelled?
A: Rain or sun, we still run! We will follow city protocol but even if the weather is bad, we don't anticipate canceling the race. If it is unsafe to run, we will postpone the event but will not give refunds.
Q: Where should I park?
A: We suggest trying to park east of Peterson.
Q: How do I get to the parade after the race?
A: Please walk down Oak Street to College to watch the parade.

Participants are encouraged to run in teams. A team must have at least 4 members. There is no limit to the number of members per team, but only the four fastest team members times count toward the team score.
