Many of you wonder how to make a difference in the lives of others or how to help others with their trauma. You don't have to change careers and go get another master's degree and internship like me---here's another way: please consider donating a few dollars towards the community mental health agency I am interning at. Although we receive some MediCal funding and other grants, there is always more funding needed especially to treat those who are caught in the tier of not making enough money to be eligible for MediCal but not making enough to pay a traditional therapy fee. We treat everyone from infants to adolescents, families, couples and individual adults. This population is low income and come in for treatment for anxiety, depression, trauma, bipolar, schizophrenia, addiction and more. Mental health treatment makes a difference in people's lives!
