Help LITA raise money

As the Board of Directors of LITA, we are participating in the Bay Area Human Race in support of LITA (Love is the Answer). LITA matches volunteers to lonely and isolated seniors in Marin County long-term care facilities. LITA volunteers bring friendship, laughter, unconditional love and hope to seniors who need to be reminded that their lives really matter. 60% of the elderly living in care facilities have no family or friends that visit. LITA’s programs include our One-to-One Friends which matches volunteers with residents for weekly visits. The PET Connection program involves volunteers' special pets as part of their weekly visits. When people move into a long-term care facility, they often leave a pet behind. Animals, children and music are often the last emotional pathways to reach seniors with memory care issues. Our Bridging Generations program matches seniors with elementary school children. With your support, LITA will continue to fulfill their mission.
