Our story…
The FORDStrong Team began April 2013 when my son Kevin designed a t-shirt for my family and friends to show support when I received a Stage 3 diagnosis. (Ford happens to be my maiden name, by the way.) For the past 2 years, the FORDStrong Team joined forces with another team captain so that we could be the 2nd and 1st team respectively in fundraising. This year the FORDStrong Team will proudly stand on our own in raising funds for this extremely critical cause. I will be forever thankful that the St. Vincent Cancer Care Center and my team of doctors (Dr. Goedde, Dr. Milton, Dr. Leagre, and Dr. Hasbrook) were there for me on my journey. Thank you to my family- Joe, Kevin, Audrey, Nick, Liza, and sweet little Morgan- my 6 reasons for "fighting like a girl." Thank you to my extended Ford family and friends for all the prayers and support. Thank you to the good Lord above for answering all those prayers, keeping me FORDStrong and cancer-free!
