Gerry Lindgren 3 Miler 2016

Your chance to race against the legendary Gerry Lindgren and celebrate Gerry's 70th Birthday. During those years he held 57 American Track records, 1 World Record, and won 11 NCAA National Championships.

This year's race takes place in KAPIOLANI PARK ON SATURDAY MARCH 12 AT 7AM. It`s FREE and open to everyone. Start: in front of the Waikiki Shell on Monsarrat Ave. and run 1 &1/2 times around Kapiolani Park. Finish: in front of the tennis courts across from the Waikiki Aquarium. After the race: you will have the opportunity to take photos, and chat with him. The entire course is within Kapiolani Park and is stroller, and dog friendly.

Of course, you will receive a certificate whether you beat Gerry, or not. If your time is faster than Gerry, you will earn a CERTIFICATE OF ACHIEVEMENT, and if your time is slower, we will issue you a CERTIFICATE OF APPRECIATION for allowing Gerry to win.

POSTAL DIVISION: If you can't make it to Kapiolani Park in Honolulu to run with Gerry... YOU CAN RUN IT WHERE EVER YOU LIVE. You can run it in Poughkeepsie! You can run it in Walla Walla. You can run it in Newton or Foxgrove. Just run 3 miles any time during the month of March and send in your finishing time (no cheat). We will post times on the website and facebook. If you would like to receive the special run CERTIFICATE signed by Gerry, send a $5 donation to cover postage and handling, and we will mail it to you no matter where you live.
