For participating in Race to End Violence 5K

My Story…

1 in 4 women will face abuse in her lifetime, 1 in 3 teens will be involved in an abusive or unhealthy relationship, 25% of US high school girls will be abused physically or sexually... With these harrowing numbers, why aren't we doing more to end domestic violence? And, if we all face these risk factors regardless of our economic or social backgrounds, can you imagine what it is like for immigrant and refugee women and children who have no recourse? This is why I am so passionate about supporting International Women's House. IWH is the only shelter and resource center in Georgia with a complete open door policy, providing services to women and children regardless of where they were born or what language they speak. Each year hundreds of victims become survivors because of the work of IWH. Whether you were born in the USA, or now call the USA home, IWH is ready to help. I hope you can support the programs at IWH with a donation and help more victims find help. Thank you!
