1/2 MILE DIRT HORSE TRACK
When do you ever get to run on a real horse track?
How far do you want to run?
The objective is simple: How many miles can you go? Begin at 8pm and run/jog/walk/rest for up to 10 hours.
You can stop if you reach your goal before the 6am stopping point, and you'll receive your finisher's award right then.
Start & Stop as often as you like.
Camp right alongside the track.
We supply a large aid station with food and drink.
Nice rest rooms with running water and showers.
You could be surprised at the distance you'll cover when all the obstacles (hot sun, trip hazards, big hairy hills, traffic, mad dogs and cats) are removed. We have had an occasional skunk show up... but with no ill effects. so far.
Bring your friends and make it a party!
How often do you go to a running event and you see your friends at the start, and then not again because you run different paces?
Here you see everyone all night. Very encouraging!!
Custom Finisher's Awards,
Gender Specific tech shirts,
Running style caps.
You will get your money's worth!
Limited to 100 individual runners and 10 relay teams.
A portion of your entry fees go to benefit RELAY FOR LIFE. You will also have the option to donate an additional amount to Relay for Life. Thank you for your support.

Race Info
***RUN UNDER THE STARS*** 10 HOUR ENDURANCE RUN:
This is a night time run. Run, jog, walk, rest, stop and start as much as you'd like.
The objective is to see how far you can go; however you can stop at any time if you've reached your goal or if you've had enough.
HIGHLIGHTS:
CHIP TIMING SYSTEM will keep your distance recorded. We will display your distance continually at the timing tent. Check the monitor. Hard copies will be posted hourly.
No traffic, no hills, no roots, no hard running surface.
NO HOT SUN BEATING DOWN ON YOU.
This could possibly be the course you'll set a personal best for whatever distance you run.
Relay Teams
10 relay teams will be accepted. A team will consist of 2 or 4 members. One member will attach the timing chip and wear the race belt with the team bib # attached. Members must exchange the timing chip and belt to whichever member is accumulating mileage for the team. It is permissable that team members run for their own personal mileage when they are not running for the team, but their mileage does not count towards the total. Team members may run as much or little as they want, and in whichever order they please. In fact, one or two runners can run 90% of the distance if that's what the team wants.
NOTE: relay runners are not eligible for individual awards (most mileage)
Aid Stations & Drop Bags
AID STATIONS: A large station will be set up right on the track (out of the way of runners of course).
Each runner may supply their own water bottle (please mark your name on it) and tables will be available to place your bottle. (This should greatly reduce the number of paper cups needed).
REST ROOMS: Large rest rooms with running water and SHOWERS!!! are available.
S.W.O.R.D. hydration drink, water, soda, Hammer Gel, Cookies, Pretzels, M&Ms, watermelon, bananas, and other food items will be available.
As the night goes on we'll bring in pizza, and we'll have coffee available.
DROP BAGS: You can have whatever you want at your site either in the infield, grandstands, or at your car. NOTE: IF YOU LEAVE THE TRACK, YOU MUST RE-ENTER AT THE SAME SPOT YOU EXITED.
AMENITIES & AWARDS
AMENITIES:
Individual runners receive the following: Short Sleeve Shirt; Drawstring Backpack; Running cap; Finisher's Award with a space reserved for you to enter your total distance.
Relay Team members each receive the shirt, drawstring backpack, cap, and finisher's award. NOTE: relay members are not eligible for individual awards, however your individual mileage will be shown in the results.
AWARDS
Besides all of the amenities you receive there will also be special awards for the five males and females who cover the most distance; and to the top five Relay teams covering the most distance. NOTE: It can get very congested at the finish line right before the end of the event. After a little while, the timing system will add another lap to those who are standing there. This gives a false result. It's easy to see when someone is given an extra lap, but it takes a little while to get the results corrected. Therefore, all Top 5 awards will be mailed to you within a couple of weeks. We want to get it right. :)
