GET YOUR COLOUR ON !
Winnipeg Frontrunners is proud to organize the second annual Pride Run for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and two-spirited people, and their allies.
You can walk, run, or sashay it! This is a fun 5K event that encourages participants to dress colourfully. No boring black! Instead, express yourself in your brightest colours.
Back by popular demand!
For the second year running, the best way to kick off Pride Week is to put on your kicks and run, walk, or sashay in the Winnipeg Frontrunners Pride Run.
This fun, family-friendly 5K event takes place Saturday, May 28th at 9:00 a.m. It starts in Stephen Juba Park, continues over the Provencher Bridge, loops through St. Boniface, and ends where it all started for snacks and prizes.
The theme for our Pride Run is “Get Your Colour On!” We’re open to people of all speeds. Just bring your most colourful running or walking outfit and your positive, Pride-filled energy. We’ll give you a free t-shirt, too!
This year we’re fundraising for Reaching Out Winnipeg (ROW), a local organization that sponsors and supports sexual and gender minority (SGM) refugees and newcomers.
We are blessed that we live in a country that accepts different shades of sexuality and gender, but unfortunately, many SGM people from other parts of the world suffer human rights violations. Let’s come together to support fellow human beings who just want to be themselves and live happy and safe lives.
