Course Description
- The starting line for O’Connell’s Run is located on Palisade Avenue, between Paterson Plank & 2nd Street
- This is a fast & easy course; with a slight incline at the beginning, and a downhill finish.
Directions
- Starting line is at 2nd Street and Palisade Avenue in Union City
- Street parking is available, around Washington Park or on New York , Bergenline , Central and Summit Avenue, as well as any of the numbered side streets.
- Please note Palisade Ave. will be closed from 2nd to 29th St.
- The starting line is an easy walk from Hoboken, and very easy to get to from Jersey City (the starting line borders Jersey City Heights). Union City is easily accessible via NJ Transit buses.
Walking From Hoboken
- Go to Ninth Street, Just west of Jackson Street
- Take the 9th Street Light Rail elevator up to Congress Street
- Head west on Congress Street to Palisade Avenue
- Turn right onto Palisade Avenue
- Walk a few short blocks to 2nd Street
