Dear Century Ride 160km riders,
First of all, thank you for your ongoing support of the Heart of the Valley Century Ride.
We’ve had to make a difficult decision.
Due to the growing wildfires, intermittent highway closures and preponderance of safety and fire vehicles (not to mention air quality), we will be merging all 160km cyclists into the 100km for this year. We apologize for any inconvenience but we feel this is the right move considering the changing circumstances.
We look forward to seeing you this coming Sunday.
Best regards
Middleton Recreation
Sunday the 14th of August, 2016, starting at 9:00am at Middleton’s Rotary Raceway Park
The route consists of 4 loops; counterclockwise from Middleton to Bridgetown (50km route), clockwise from Bridgetown to Annapolis Royal (100km route) and counter clockwise from Annapolis Royal to Raven Haven park (160km route) and return to Annapolis Royal.
=> GOOGLE MAP <=
The routes will be the same as our previous rides. The 50km and 100km routes have some rolling hills. For those riding the full century ride the 60km loop beyond Annapolis Royal is home to long steady climb at the 50km to 80km mark; well worth the effort. There is also a 25km loop that runs counterclockwise from Middleton out and back.
