A new race organised by Stag Leap Running Co., sponsored by The North Face, and part of Fernie’s Roll & Sole Festival.
Racers challenge themselves with a vert filled adventure, climbing up to Castle Rocks. To get you in the mood, don't forget to get your ticket for Fernie's screening of the world-touring Trails in Motion Film Festival, screening at 6PM on Saturday July 2nd at The Fenie Arts Station.

Race Details
Head to our Strava Club to see the route!
5km race, from the River Extension Road (off Coal Creek), to the top of Castle Rocks, via Hyperventilation. Race finishes at the top, but you'll still need to get yourself back down - but that's the easy part and can be run at a leisurely pace!
Please note, there is no water or fuel on course or at the top! Despite being 5km, it's a tough climb, so please carry your provisions for the up...and the down! There will be water, electrolytes and snacks at the base.
Anyone under 14 is welcome to race, but MUST race with an adult.
Trails in Motion Film Festival
Want to see some of the best trail films of the year? Trails in Motion is the world's Trail Running Film Festival, and it's coming to Fernie, BC. Screening at The Fernie Arts Station, on Saturday July 2nd 6-8PM, it's the perfect way to get inspired for your race! Draw prizes and beer to accompany the evening.
