Join us Saturday, October 15th, 2016 during the Anthem Go Outside Festival for an urban AND wilderness scavenger hunt in Roanoke, Virginia! How the Wild Gear Chase Works
Participants have 2 hours to find as many checkpoints as possible located in both urban and wooded areas. The harder the checkpoint the higher the point value. Once everyone is done, each finisher will be ranked based on time and the points associated with all of the checkpoints found. After a brief deliberation, runners will be lined up in finishing order (1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc…) in front of our gear tent. The tent is full of 200+ pieces of gear ranging from kayaks to tents to socks. Every 30 seconds a person enters the tent…they can stay in the tent as long as they want but they can only leave the tent (on the other side) with one piece of gear. The longer you take to make your choice the more people there are entering the tent who may take the gear you’re eyeing. With this event every participant walks away a winner…with a piece of sweet gear!!
