PLEASE NOTE: We have run out of shirts. This is great news because it means we have had more people register than planned! All runners who register after 12:00pm on October 21st will have a shirt shipped to them after the race. Please still stop by packet pickup to get your race bib. Thank you all for helping make this event a HUGE success for our kids!
This USATF course certified, family-friendly 5K race is being held by Compass to Care Childhood Cancer Foundation to raise money for kids with cancer. By participating, you will be helping these kids get from their homes to the hospital for the treatment necessary to save their lives.
All childhood cancer survivors, both young and old, register for free and will be honored before the race begins.
Bring your family. Bring your friends. Bring your children. And run to help kids on their cancer journeys.
Discounted registration before September 22nd. Medals will be awarded to top three male and female finishers, and to the top three finishers in each of the following age brackets: 12 & under, 13-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+.
In addition, we will hold short kids races immediately following the event for any kid 7 and under who would like to participate. No need to register. Just listen for an announcement after the race to line up for the fun!

About Compass to Care
Compass to Care was founded in 2010 by Park Ridge resident, Michelle Ernsdorff. When Michelle was just 14 months old she was diagnosed with kidney cancer. Her parents struggled to pay for the travel expenses necessary to get her to cancer treatment. She founded Compass to Care, in her parents' honor, to help parents pay for the necessary travel expenses to get their children to cancer treatment.
Compass to Care has over 100 children in treatment. By participating in this 5K, you will allow them to help even more.

Parking/Metra Information
Street parking is available within close proximity to the starting line at Hodge Park in Park Ridge.
The Central Parking Lot on the corner of Summit and Prospect , is one block away from the start/finish line and offers free parking.
The Park Ridge Metra stops one block from the start/finish line as well.
