Island Girl Mini Triathlon is a 1 mile paddle, 6 mile bike and 1 mile run on the Old Highway in Islamorada Florida. The paddle is either paddle board or kayak. There will be two different divisions for that catagory. The paddle begins in Tavernier Creek for a one mile course. The athlete will then go to transition and cycle 6 miles on the Old Highway and end back at transition to complete a one mile run. There will be a solo and relay division. Relay divisions can be either 2 or 3 partipants and there will be no age catagory.
The finish line will be at Casa Mar Village (same as start location) at the beach. We will have a post race celebration and prizes will be awarded to the contestants. This is great for beginning triathletes, friends and families. It is a ladies only contest. So join us in Islamorada Florida for a great tropical outdoors experience.
