Sequoia Stampede 2016

Sequoia Stampede 5K Run/Walk & Tot Trot

The Sequoia Stampede is more than a 5K race/walk - it is a fun-filled, community event and one of the core fundraising events for Sequoia Athletics. This year we are adding a tot trot (two laps around the high school track) for kids 5 and under.

Also new this year- you can sign up in teams, family or athletics, pay attention for that in your registration page.

This helps us offer the breadth of sports we do with the safety and equipment necessary, along with transportation for our students.

The Sequoia Stampede gathers families, neighbors, friends, students, athletes and businesses together for the common goal of supporting Sequoia High School athletic programs. Without the financial support of events such as this, the continuity of Sequoia’s enriching athletic programs will be compromised because the sport programs' financial need falls into the gap between basic state funding, and this impacts our athletes’ opportunity to compete to the best of their ability.

The Stampede Goal

Raise funds to support ALL Sequoia sports programs and to:

1. Connect Sequoia High School and their families with the local community and businesses

2. Involve ALL athletes, students, and faculty.

3. Involve all of Sequoia’s extracurricular programs.

4. Create a learning experience for students by allowing them to help organize the event and volunteer on event day.

The Course

The course starts and finishes on Sequoia High School’s beautiful campus. It will start and finish in the stadium. It winds its way through the Redwood-ed neighborhood behind the school and over a few small hills, and one 200 ft dirt path. The neighbors do come out to welcome you to this great town!

When you finish there will be a relaxing sponsor festival in a grove of 100 year old trees that are so special to Sequoia.
