Run For The Blue Dallas
Supporting Fallen and Wounded Officers and Their Families
On July 7, 2016, five police officers were killed and eight police officers were injured in the line of duty in a deliberate attack on the Dallas Police Department, Dallas Area Rapid Transit Police, and El Centro College Police. Run For The Blue was founded in response to this attack to support fallen and injured officers and their families.
Run For The Blue Dallas is a 5K and 1 Mile run / walk on July 28, 2016.
Walkers and runners are welcome. The course will remain open for one hour, long enough to allow an easy 20 minute walking pace.
Race entry is free. You will have the opportunity to make a donation during registration. 100% of proceeds from the run will go to the families of Dallas officers slain in the July 7 attack.
You will also have the option to add chip timing for $5 (all $5 will go to the families) and a t-shirt for $20 ($18 will go to the families).
Proceeds will be distributed through the National Latino Law Enforcement Organization's Signal 15 fund.
We encourage cities around the country to create their own Run For The Blue event local fallen and injured officers. Email firstname.lastname@example.org for details.
