Help Us Celebrate 10 Years of Panting for Paws!
We are so excited to be celebrating 10 years of Panting for Paws! Over the 10 years that we've been hosting this "pawsome" fundraising event, we have had so much support from all of you...whether you are running, walking...or even panting!
Our goal is to raise $25,000 this year to help care for the animals in our shelter, so the more pledges received the closer we get to our goal. Helping Paws' mission for more than 47 years has been to provide shelter, food, medical care and comfort to the animals in our care until they are placed into loving, responsible homes. It costs a lot to keep the shelter running and we can only do it with the help of generous individuals and businesses who donate year round to support the animals' welfare.
To show you how much we appreciate everyone's support, we have a special incentive this year that we hope everyone will want to be a part of! For every $10 in pledges/donations you receive between now and November 3, 2016, you will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win a 2-night stay in a luxury suite at the Wyndham Grand Chicago Riverfront. Collect at least $500 in pledges and get an extra 10 entries into the drawing. To be fair, we'll be going back retroactively to anyone who already has pledges in their account.
This upscale hotel is right across from the Chicago River and around the corner from Michigan Avenue and the Magnificent Mile. It would be a great weekend in the city and you could also get some holiday shopping done at the same time. NOTE: The dates to choose from for the weekend stay are either December 2-4 or December 16-18, 2016.
Once registered, you can log in to your Pledge Page (on the race website) to easily customize your page. Set a goal, write a message/your story and you can even upload a pic. Then, send emails or post to Facebook and Instagram to your friends, family, neighbors and coworkers. It's that easy and you'll be making a wonderful difference for the animals.
Thank you for your support and for making a difference in the lives of the homeless animals who are waiting for their forever homes!
