Some people dream of being a Superhero. For others, they are paid to be a Superhero. But for kids fighting cancer, there is no choice. They must become a Superhero as they fight the evil villain known as Cancer!
Join Candlelighters Simcoe for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month in September as we walk, run, rollerskate, scooter, etc., to raise awareness and Stomp out Childhood Cancer. Together.
NOTE: Online registrations before 11:59 PM on September 2 will be guaranteed their free Stomp Swag. Registrations after that date will be first come/first served the day of the event. All children need a hero in their life. For children diagnosed with cancer, they become a superhero!
On September 24th, caped crusaders and masked heros will take over Barrie’s Waterfront. People will come from near and far, uniting together for a common cause - to celebrate the Superhero that lies within those children fighting cancer – the worst of all villains. All proceeds will be used to support local families in their cancer battle.
Join us for an evening filled with zany fun and magical moments. Face painting, music, photo booth and so much more begins at 6pm.
Each and every day we encounter Superheroes… the police who protect our communities, the firefighters that fight fires, and the paramedics, nurses and doctors who save lives. But it’s the littlest Superheros – infants, toddlers, children and teens - who because of a cancer diagnosis had no choice but to become a Superhero that are the most inspiring. We witness children find unimagineable strength to fight the battle of a lifetime. The Superhero Stomp is to celebrate those who have won the battle, to support and cheer on those currently undergoing treatment, and to remember those who have been taken away from us too early.
Whether it is your favorite character or one you created, heroes of all ages, ability and creativity are welcome. Grab your superhero cape and mask, pull on your spandex tights, and join us for 1k, 3k or 5k to support Candlelighters Simcoe whose mission is to empower families on their childhood cancer journey lighting the way by providing hope, support and education.
All registrations include an LED helium balloon and a silicone wristband. You will have the opportunity to select your balloon and wristband during the registration process. You will also have the opportunity to purchase a Superhero Cape/Mask set if you like - please note that in order to secure any of these your registration MUST complete your registration by 11:59 PM on September 2.
