Have you ever wondered what it feels like to cross home plate in front of a cheering crowd in a Major League ballpark?
Come out to Ed Smith Stadium and “Run for the Birds” with Save Our Seabirds and the Baltimore Orioles in Sarasota. Both the 5K and the 1-mile run will begin in the parking lot of Ed Smith Stadium. And both will end by entering the outfield gate of the ballpark and running from third base to home plate.
When you cross home plate, your run is done!
All proceeds from the race will benefit Save Our Seabirds, Inc., a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in Sarasota.
Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and release sick and injured birds while educating our community about avoiding injuries and preserving habitats.
As a local non-profit that rescues, rehabilitates, and releases sick and injured birds of all kinds in the area, Save Our Seabirds is very mindful of sustainability. Both Save Our Seabirds and the Orioles are proud members of the Sarasota County Green Business Partnership.
