Join the University Park, MD community for a morning of family-friendly fun and fitness. The Azalea Classic has a race for everyone! Choose from our USATF certified 5K, our 1 Mile Challenge or our 1K Family Fun Run. All races take place on quiet, azalea-lined streets in University Park. This popular event brings together people from across the region, various schools and all ages. The event is organized by the University Park Elementary School PTA and all proceeds benefit programs at the school.

Please read over the Runner Info on our website: www.AzaleaClassic.com and contact the Race Director if you have any additional questions. Start training today with the Couch to Classic training program or start running on your own. The Azalea Classic is a notoriously hilly course -- this is not a "flat and fast" course for setting a new PR, but it's great spring training for a season of racing and a beautiful course to run. Enjoy the challenge of the Azalea Classic 5k course!
