Our story…
Team Oke is participating in the 4th Annual Seize the Day.
As many know, our son Jarett, 19, was diagnosed with epilepsy at 18 months. In that time he has seen countless doctors, undergone surgery in 2014, & has tried numerous medications in attempt to control his seizures. Last year Jarett had two seizures that caused him to be admitted into the hospital.
Despite the prevalence of epilepsy in our communities, it’s a neurological disorder that continues to be under funded & widely misunderstood. Team Oke is committed to helping improve the lives of individuals & families affected by epilepsy.

1 in 100 Canadians have epilepsy. 1 in 10 people will have a seizure in their life.
Epilepsy Southwestern Ontario enhances the lives of people living in Southwestern Ontario, who are affected by epilepsy and seizure disorders by providing a network of services that educate, support and build community awareness.
