Sharks in San Diego Harbor? Not really, but you may see seals and dolphins as you enter their world. This not-to-be-missed swim is just one of many in the growing Enviro-Sports' Sharkfest™ Series. San Diego offers both comfortable water and air temperatures this time of year making it a perfect swim venue. The 1 mile swim will start at the 5th Avenue Landing behind the San Diego Convention Center and finish at the Tidelands Park beach at the foot of the Coronado Bridge on the Coronado side. The swim has been timed according to the local tidal conditions and will take place during "slack" tide. The event is limited to 500 participants so don't wait too long to register!
PLEASE NOTE: This swim is not for novices. This event is for experienced open-water swimmers only. You should be able to swim one mile comfortably in a pool in under 40 minutes.

COURSE CUT-OFF TIME: 50 minutes
INCENTIVES: T-Shirts for all participants. Sharkfest Swim Medals for top three finishers in each age group, in each division (wetsuit & non-wetsuit combined). Personalized award plaques will also be mailed to the first place finishers in each age group (wetsuit and non-wetsuit combined).
AGE GROUP BREAKDOWN: Male and Female: 5-6, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, 15-17, 18-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80-84, 85-89, 90-94, 95-100!
ENTRANT LETTER: An entrant letter with all the race day details will be emailed to all registered participants and posted online here 1-2 weeks prior to event day. Please check back for any updates and the full race day itinerary.
PARKING: Paid parking is available in the lot behind the San Diego Convention Center on Convention Center Way. (Take 8th Ave off E. Harbor Drive, Bear Right onto Convention Center Way, there will be parking lots behind the Convention Center on this road and we will have parking attendants to direct you.) Once this lot fills, you will be directed to the multi-level parking garage at the intersection of E. Harbor Drive and Convention Center Way. All parking is very convenient to the race check-in and race start. Your entry fee includes a one-way water taxi ride from Coronado back to San Diego from the finish.
CANCELLATIONS: Registrations are non-refundable. If you can no longer participate in this event, you may receive a rollover credit (minus a $20 processing fee) toward a future event as long as you let us know by September 8 2017. After that date, a doctor's note is required to receive a credit.
