See what we love about Asheville!
For those of you who remember the old Asheville Citizen-Times Half Marathon, our race follows about 95% of that course. The ARX Half Marathon will begin on Coxe Avenue in the heart of the South Slope and proceed north through downtown into North Asheville and through the Grove Park neighborhood including the famous climb of Cherokee. After this section the course is exactly the same including the sections on Kimberly Avenue, around the Country Club of Asheville, the Beaver Lake Trail, Lookout Mountain and UNCA before heading to Broadway. At this point we will join the Reedy Creek Greenway before taking the final stretch up and over Patton Avenue on Lexington Avenue for the final sprint to the finish on Coxe.
The course is USATF certified. CLICK HERE to download a map of the official course. Take advantage of the early registration fee of $50 through the end of this year. The fee jumps to $75 on January 1st so get it done now.
