If you are looking for one of the best "hill" courses the ERS has to offer, than look no further! You can bet this course will keep your HR high, while you take in the surrounding mountain views and terrain.
The Black Hawk Trail Half Marathon and 10K is not for the faint of heart, as they say. Both the half marathon and 10K courses see tons of climbing and lots of technical landscape. If you are a runner looking to challenge yourself, then you have come to the right place.
The 3rd Annual event is held on July 29th, and located at Golden Gate Canyon State Park just outside of Black Hawk and Golden, CO. Golden Gate Canyon Sate Park supports over 35 miles of trails on over 12,000 acres, ranging in elevations from 7600'- 10,400'. Runners will enjoy remarkable views across valleys, maedows, and mountain ranges.
The Start/Finish will be staged at Red Barn Picnic Area (across from Nott Creek Trail head)
Due to permit restrictions we have limited this race to 300 Runners Max...
NEW IN 2017... We are excited to announce the addition of a 5K course, race maps will be announced early 2017.
