On November 23rd, 2017, the Briargate Family YMCA is hosting our 20th annual Turkey Trot 5k and Kids’ Fun Run presented by Kaiser Permanente in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The Turkey Trot 5k and Kids’ Fun Run is the eagerly anticipated Holiday event of the season and is a fundraiser for the YMCA. This fundraiser enables us to provide scholarships to local families in need, which, in turn, allows them access to the YMCA and its many programs.
TEAMS: You will be prompted during the registration process to sign up for a 5K team - you must have 4 or more participants to get the discount ($3 off per person)

Furry Friends Closed
Furry Friends are now welcome to run with their human friends! Must be leashed, current on shots, and well behaved. Human friends must pick up after furry friends. Furry friends will receive a rock'n Turkey Trot 5k bandana and a treat! All furry animals must run in the furry friendly wave. Don't worry, your time starts when you cross the starting line and end when you cross the finish line.

Packet Pickup and Race Day Information
The 20th Annual YMCA Turkey Trot presented by Kaiser Permanente is right around the corner and in true Thanksgiving fashion, we would like to say THANK YOU! This is going to be our biggest, best 5k yet and we couldn't do it without you! You'll have a great time while making it possible for our friends and neighbors in need to access membership and programs at the Y.
In order to prep you for the festivities, (1) LIKE us on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/YMCARACES where we’ll give you any last minute updates and you can check for free photos after the race, (2) share the YMCA Race Series Facebook page so your friends and family will know where to find you and (3) check out this important info below!
Packet Pickup
You may choose any of the following locations for packet pickup. We assign bibs at the location so we will have your packet available for you at any location should your plans change. You may pick up your family's, friends' or teammates' packets.
November 21st:
- Kaiser Permanente Parkside Location (215 S Parkside Dr, Colorado Springs, CO 80910) from 12-6pm.
- Colorado Running Company (5262 N. Nevada Ave #140, Colorado Springs, CO 80918) from 12-7pm.

On Site Registration
We will have on site registration, November 23rd at the Briargate YMCA for $50 from 6:30-8:45am. We will be accepting registrations however the race shirt is not guaranteed. Anyone registering after 8:45am may not be chip timed. Tell your friends to register now!
Race Day Info
Parking: We highly encourage carpooling! Parking is available at the Briargate YMCA as well as the parking lots located to the North of the YMCA. Please do not park at the Presidio Point Apartments.This is for residents only and you may get towed at your expense. Please be respectful of businesses in the area as well.
Start Times: 9:00am 5K, 8:15am 1-mile Kids Run (free)
Where: Starting line is at Austin Bluffs and Family Place, just East of the Briargate YMCA. Please see the race map for details on parking, starting line, and the Turkey Yard!
Awards for 5K: Presented immediately following the race to the top three finishers in each division as well as the top three overall female and male finishers. Results will be posted at www.ppymca.org/turkeytrot as soon as possible.
Turkey Yard: Stop by the Turkey Yard after you finish and visit our sponsors and vendors!
Race Day Etiquette: Please keep to the right on the path and allow for faster runners to pass on the left.
