The mission of the Cayman Islands Cancer Society, a non-profit organisation, is to increase awareness among the people of the Cayman Islands of cancer as a major health condition, to promote leadership in a range of areas, to prevent the development of cancer and to counsel and support cancer patients and their families.
The vision of the Cancer Society is to see a reduction in the incidence of cancer cases and an improvement in the quality of life of all those touched by cancer in the Cayman Islands through:
- Initiating age-appropriate educational programmes
- Assisting cancer patients who meet the criteria with treatment related expenses
- Establishing a cancer survivor network
- Reviewing legislative matters of interest to the Society and advocating for relevant changes in legislation
