Help Elisa raise money

For participating in Miles for Migraine Race - Philadelphia, 2017

My Story…

I am participating in Miles for Migraine to help raise awareness for this often misunderstood and underfunded neurological disorder. Having a strong family history of migraine, I began suffering episodic migraine at the age of 10, which transformed into chronic migraine 6 years ago. I have good days and bad days, but when the bad days come, which vary between 10 - 15 attacks a month, it is very debilitating. Fortunately, I have a wonderful support system including, family, friends, and medical professionals from the Jefferson Headache Center in Philadelphia, that help tremendously. It is also my hope in participating in the Miles for Migraine Race to bring greater awareness to the general public who often incorrectly think that Migraine is "just a headache". It is so much more than just a headache. It is a complex multi-symptom neurological disorder that to date has no cure. Thank you for reading my story, and any and all support is appreciated.
