The Operation Jack Marathon & Half Marathon is back for the 7th annual running in 2016! Increasing participation and inclusiveness is always a goal of Operation Jack, so we’re continuing with the 5K to give more people an opportunity to run.
The marathon will be again be a Boston Qualifier, USATF certification ID: CA15025RS.
As always, the race will take place on December 26 at Dockweiler State Beach in Playa del Rey, Calif.

Bib Pickup:
Bib pickup is race-day only at the race start area, beginning at 6 a.m.
Start Time:
7:30 a.m. Early start at 6:45 (only runners expecting to take longer than 6 hours, please)
Cutoff Time:
1:30 p.m.
Course Description:
Flat and fast 6.55-mile segment along the Pacific Ocean and Ballona Creek with snow-capped mountain views. Runners head north for 4.15 miles to the north turnaround on Ballona Creek, then head back 6.55 miles to the south turnaround in Manhattan Beach before returning 2.4 miles to the start/finish area. Full marathon runners complete the out-and-back twice.

Top 3 overall, men/women (marathon, half-marathon, 5K)
Top 3 age group men/women, 18-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+ (marathon, half-marathon)
Aid Stations:
Every two miles on the course. Water, Gatorade, first aid. Energy gels available at mile 13 and 17.
Family Friendly:
Jog strollers are welcome! As a courtesy, though, please start towards the back of the pack.
Timing:
Chip timed.
All Participants Receive:
– Race t-shirt
– Custom 4-inch die-cut medal
– On-course support and refreshments at the finish line
