About Out of Darkness
Out of Darkness, Columbus is a non-profit organization, working to reach, rescue and restore all victims of commercial sexual exploitation. In addition to weekly street outreach to women who are forced into prostitution, they will be opening the first fully staffed, trauma informed safe home in Central Ohio for adult female victims of human trafficking. There are many needs when it comes to opening and operating the safe home. A portion of your money will go directly into the startup costs, which will allow the doors to open, offering a place of rest, peace and hope for a second chance. To find out more information about Out of Darkness and how you can get involved follow them on Facebook or visit their website at www.outofdarkness.org/columbus.
The proceeds received from the 2017 MPI Ohio Chairman's Challenge Striding Into The Light 5k benefit the ministry of Out of Darkness.
