In its 28th year, Hinsdale Humane Society is excited to present the second annual 5K Fun Run for all on Sunday, June 4, 2017. It is one of very few USATF Certified 5K Runs that allows strollers and dogs! USATF IL-16010WR. The race will begin and end in beautiful Katherine Legge Memorial Park and is a relatively flat course in hilly Hinsdale.
Once runners and walkers finish the event, you can spend time at our family-friendly, pet friendly festival while enjoying food, music and events.
We encourage all runners and walkers to wear their favorite hero gear and join HHS to "race to the rescue!" YOU can be a hero for animals!

Event takes place rain or shine
Race Day Registration from 7:00am - 7:30am (cannot guarantee a t-shirt)
Warm up with Spark Fitness at 7:45am
5K Run and Walk will begin promptly at 8:00am
Kids Dash will begin promptly at 9:15am
5K Race Awards at 9:30am
We use a disposable chip timing tag that runners receive at packet pick up on their race bibs. It is lightweight and remains attached to the race bib. Runners must wear their race bibs on the front of their clothing in order to be timed accurately. On-line registration closes June 1 and you must register by May 22 to guarantee a shirt.
7:00 - 7:30am. No registrations will be accepted after 7:30am. Cannot guarantee a race shirt for race day registration
Drop off parking is available ONLY until 7:30am at Katherine Legge Memorial Park; after 7:30am parking is available at Elm Elementary school, a few blocks away, and street parking will be available

- Provide Vaccinations for 12 homeless dogs or 10 homeless cats
- Provide Obedience Classes and Certification for 5 therapy dogs

- Transfer 1 Dog or Puppy from a High Kill Shelter to HHS
- Give 7 days of care for a homeless cat
$50 will...
- Provide Prescription Medication for a sick animal
$25 will...
- Fund 3 bags of cat litter or 2 cases of canned dog food
